EXCLUSIVE: Pushpa 2 The Rule Advance Booking Report

Pushpa 2 Movie Trailer Review(s) have been mixed and even the reception of songs is not on par with Pushpa The Rise. Pushpa 2 Ticket Price(s) are going to be moderate across B and C centres but will be premium across bigger cities due to wide IMAX and 3D release. Reportedly, the film is 3 Hours 21 Minutes long, the film has been certified ‘U/A’ and there are a few cuts which means the duration or run-time post CBFC certification is yet to be released. We have seen many BLOCKBUSTERS with long run-time including Animal, Kalki 2898AD etc. The Director Sukumar needs to deliver big with his as long run-time comes with ‘make it or break it’ tag. As it is Pushpa 2 the rule movie Hype is getting compared to KGF Chapter 2 hype and here, KGF 2 leads with a huge margin as the reception of assets were simply crazy be it the brilliant Teaser or fabulous trailer. The high on testosterone aspect was marketed pretty well and KGF 2 eventually became the Highest Grossing Indian Film post pandemic with highest number of admits in OTT and piracy era, post pandemic. Even SS Rajamouli’s super hyped film RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan couldn’t touch the 5 crore+ domestic footfalls but KGF 2 went beyond the 5 crore mark and is the only film post pandemic to do so. Since Pushpa 2 The Rule is also a hyped sequel, it is expected to touch the same number.

North America: Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 Movie Pre-Booking Sale(s) in overseas markets started a long time back with USA setting records. The North America bookings are extraordinary without Canada prime locations. Also, Hindi version in Canada is seeing huge enquiries but the bookings haven’t opened so expect another huge surge when Hindi bookings are opened in Canada. Kalki 2898 AD and RRR are the only films to score $3.50M+ final advance booking for pre-sales and here, Pushpa 2 The Rule is at $1.65M with 8 Days to go.

Gulf: Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2 The Rule has sold more than 6,000 tickets across Gulf and here the major chunk is coming from UAE as prime locations outside UAE haven’t opened. With close to $80K gross, the film projects a huge start. But a lot depends on the reception outside UAE which will be more evident once bookings open. With 8 days to go, this is what it has sold for its opening day including premiers.

Germany: Pushpa: The Rule – Part 2 is looking at a big start in Germany as it has sold more than 2000 tickets in Germany for the opening weekend which means more than 42K Euros in gross terms. This denotes a big start as it has already surpassed the final reported gross of big films like Baahubali, Devara and Salaar. The huge start is a bonus and later its on content to deliver.

Australia: Australia has surpassed expectations with A200K+ advance booking for Day 1. This is leaving out the IMAX versions as there are block seats there and the exact number will be available before 4 to 5 days. Again a huge start on cards and it is on track so far to register a big opening currently held by Baahubali 2 The Conclusion (A$825K), RRR ($702K) and Pathaan ($566K). KGF 2 had opened with a phenomenal A$501K and this Allu Arjun starrer is sure to go beyond.

To sum it up, the film has crossed Rs 20 crore sales overseas and is heading to $5M+ opening. How much more can it go completely depends on the remaining locations, shows and countries but yes, North America is set to be the biggest contributor.
