Stree 2 Hindi Movie Review
Inside Box Office Rating:

The Plot
Stree 2 has an overpowering first half–everything, from the intro to the set, and the music is perfect. We would rate the first half alone a 4.5/5, with its spectacular cinematography and background music stealing the show! The Music is outstanding and the songs are enjoyable. The clever use of cameos, at the perfect moment gives a different direction to the plot. Oh, and the dialogues. Youngsters will enjoy it and the delivery is solid by each and everyone.
Coming to the second half, it’s not as strong as the first half. The initial fragment of the second half lacks a bit of storytelling. However, Amar Kaushik is a smart director. Whenever you feel that the plot is dragged, you see a great ‘fan servicing technique’ that takes the plot to the finale through a visual spectacle. Also, two mid-credits are carved perfectly because if they were to be inserted into the film, the film would look stretched.
The Performances
The boys are phenomenal. Just like in part one, they’ve done their job better than we expected. They are just amazing! Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana. Rajkummar Rao has again stolen the show with his great comic dialogues, delivered right at the correct point!
Nonetheless, Shraddha Kapoor is no less than exceptional. The elevations work in her favour and she emerges as the mass heroine. She has done a fantastic job, demonstrating her commendable acting.
Storytelling
Amar Kaushik is a maestro in blending horror with comedy, ensuring that the audience is scared and has happy tears together. The dialogue is sharp, helping accelerate the plot. The concept of ‘FOLKLORE’ which was touched upon in Stree, is further dealt with in the sequel. It explores the themes of gender and social expectations, the main hallmark of the prequel.
Final Thoughts
Stree 2 successfully retains the charm of the original, offering plenty of laughs and scares. Though not as fresh or surprising as its predecessor, the film is a worthy sequel that fans of the first will enjoy.
On the whole, the film is an entertainer that we were missing. Yes, the scope is there. Hopefully, Part Three is a 4.5/5 or a seedha 5/5.
